1767 Townshend Acts
The Townshend Acts were a combination of three acts. The first act was to make colonists supply British troops with shelter and supplies. The second act put a tax on lead, paper, glass and tea. The third act was to hire a customs board of commissioners, which made it easier for the British to collect their taxes.
